Wellbeing Science Institute to hold first elite athlete wellbeing conference at Loughborough University in the U.K.

Wellbeing Science Institute in partnership with Loughborough University is holding the inaugural Elite Athlete Wellbeing Conference on 26 January 2023 in the U.K.

This invitation-only conference will feature an internationally regarded line up of guest speakers and facilitators including:

Owen Eastwood author of Belonging who will share his insights on how leading sporting teams create inclusive environments and cultures to enable a sense of belonging and wellbeing. 

Paul Heptonstall head of Player Wellbeing & Education from the NRL who will share his experience leading a professional sporting code from a player welfare to a holistic and integrated approach to player wellbeing.

Professor David Fletcher Professor of Sport Psychology from Loughborough University who will discuss creating environments that facilitate the development of athletes’ psychological resilience.

Steve Johnson CEO of the Wellbeing Science Institute who will present on implementing a Salutogenic approach to mental health in an Elite Sporting Code

Professor Chris Harwood from Loughborough University who will facilitate a panel on flourishing in youth sports.
